Specialization in psychiatry since 2006. The main place of work and clinical practice was the Clinical Department of Psychiatry of the Hospital of the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences Kauno klinikos (Lithuania) until 2014. Clinical experience in the field of psychiatry in the mental health care system in Norway since 2014. The doctoral dissertation “Sexual Function of Postmenopausal Women in Relation to Anxiety and Depression Symptoms and Sex Hormones” defended in 2012. A lecturer at the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences, Lithuania, for the period of 2006 – 2014. A total of 37 oral presentations on the topic of sexual medicine to professional audiences in Lithuania and abroad during 2004 – 2017, and 39 publications on the topic of sexual medicine in Lithuanian and foreign journals and books during the period of 2004-2018. The founder and an editor of the journal Sexual Medicine (in Lithuanian) from 2012 until 2015. FECSM since 2012. Clinical work as a physician of sexual medicine performed mostly in the private health care sector in Lithuania. Mostly interested in the integrative concept of human sexuality in the presence of psychiatric conditions with the main focus being on the bio-psycho-social model both in diagnostics and treatment: female and male sexual function and dysfunctions, problematic sexual content psychopathology, paraphilia-related disorders, and the gender dysphoria syndrome.
